Products
The Nickel Plated Copper wire is meant for electrical wire and cable industry which demands electrical and thermal conductivity and corrosion resistance at high tempratures.
Our Nickel Plated Copper wire have inherent mechanical properties that make them a great choice for several industries.
We offer customised solution that exactly suits to customer's requirements. Our quality control ensures that you always get the best grade of Nickel Plated Copper wire for your industrial needs with full traceability.
Nickel plated copper wire with 50 micro-inch (1.27 micron)
are used for manufacturing insulated wire with operating
temperature up to 260ºC.
ASTM B 355 specifies 50 micro-inches (1.27 micron) Nickel
thickness for continuity of coating.
The operating temperature can be raised from 260°C to
1100ºC with increase in Nickel plating thickness from 2%
to 27% by weight for demanding high temprature
applications.
For crimped connection of high temperature rated cable,
Nickel Plated Copper wire is preferred choice over the
Silver Plated Copper wire due to the cost effectiveness.
Atmospheric effect will be very less with Nickel Plated
Copper wire to Silver Plated Copper Wire & Tin Plated
Copper Wire. It offers better resistance to corrosive
atmosphere.
Nickel Plated Copper Wire is used for high temperature
operation which otherwise would tarnish Silver Plated
Copper wire.
Nickel Plated Copper Wire is comparatively harder than
Silver Plated Copper Wire & Tin Plated Copper Wire
Soldering is difficult with Nickel Plated Copper Wire
compare to Silver Plated Copper Wire and Tin Plated Copper
Wire it requires an activated flux for soldering.
Nickel Plated Copper Wire will not be used where magnetic
effect will be considered in insulated wire.
The conductivity of Nickel Plated Copper Wire is
relatively low compare to silver plated copper wire thus
it will offer slightly increase in resistance.
